A search of a new model for socio-economic development: a priority task of social sciences
ABSTRACT ▼
The author reveals the challenges of the present world social system, which determined the crisis of modern civilization. Particular attention is paid to the scientific substantiation of the new model of socio-economic development - a critical condition for overcoming the crisis both in each individual country and in the whole world community. Based of the study of globalization processes taking place in the modern world, the accelerated stratification of society on the rich and poor, hypertrophied development of the financial sector of the economy, the massive introduction of "digital trade", "digital money", "exchange digital currencies", etc., the article analyzes the role of social sciences in the process of changing the model of societal development.
In the author’s opinion, an integral approach to social sciences is now needed, which will become an important factor in societal development and provide a new round of society’s acceleration and renewal. The interdisciplinary approach will allow a new look at many of the traditional phenomena of social life, including such categories as capital, social justice, property and others, which will overcome the contradiction between theory and practice in modern life that is largely due to the methodological failure of the current neo-liberal theory
