Purpose and tasks

Inter-departmental scientific and theoretical journal “Economic Theory” was founded in order to consolidate the efforts of researchers of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and High School of Ukraine and revive theoretical research in the field of economic theory.

Editorial policy

The activities of the journal are aimed at the development of domestic economic science through the support of innovative research and high standards of scientific review. The policy of the publication is based on the principles of academic independence, collegiality in decision-making and impartial selection of materials.The editors provide equal conditions for authors, prioritizing scientific novelty and practical significance of results, which contributes to the consolidation of the intellectual potential of the founders and the entire scientific community.Within the scope of its activities, the scientific journal consistently adheres to the publishing standards of publications recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) , in particular the Publishing Ethics Resource Kit for editors (PERK) , the Journal Editors’ Code of Conduct , and supports Budapest Open Access Initiative (Budapest Open Access Initiative, BOAI) , which promotes a free and free of charge dissemination of scientific knowledge for the accelerated development of science.

All articles published in the journal are archived on the journal’s website and in the “Scientific Periodicals of Ukraine” repository of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine.
