В епоху незворотної глобалізації світові економічні та політичні правила гри повинні враховувати зростаюче значення Китаю. Замість того, щоб боротися з цією країною, потрібно з нею прагматично співпрацювати у вирішенні зростаючих глобальних проблем. На сьогодні і Китай повинен адаптуватися до зовнішнього світу, і сам світ повинен адаптуватися до Китаю. Неможливо нав'язати цій країні модель, розроблену десь в іншому місці, тим більше, що в наші дні ліберальна демократія в багатьох країнах переживає системну кризу. Також неможливо нав'язати китайську модель іншим (хоча для багатьох країн це може здатися можливим); це не експортний "товар", хоча його елементи і можуть виявитися корисними в інших країнах. Китай не прагне до світового панування; навпаки, він послідовно інтегрується з зовнішнім світом, щоб підтримувати свій власний розвиток. Єдиний розумний шлях вперед лежить через уважне спостереження, взаємне навчання і прагматичне співробітництво, засноване на неортодоксальної економічній думці.
